The cutest children in the world...

That's right, you heard me. Call me biased if you will, but I do think I have the cutest children in the world! Today Josh bumped into Miriam as he walked past her, which made her start to cry. He then walked back, patted her on the head, and said, "I'm sorry" in his cute two year old voice. That's right, he's two! He's the sweetest little boy in the world, at least according to me, his momma.
Miriam is walking more and more. She'll take a couple steps, then decide to crawl because she thinks its faster. She is starting to like to read now, though not as much as Josh does. We had a lot of fun with stickers today - Josh with sticking them, and Miriam with eating them!

I know, it's amazing, isn't it!
We have been having a lot of fun this weekend. Yesterday we got to go to the zoo with Scott and Val and their two adorable children Carrie and Liam. Boy, were they cute! We had a lot of fun looking at animals, mostly just the monkeys. It was nice because it was after hours and there weren't too many people there. We also went on both carousels. Josh was scared on the first one, but the second one we sat on the bench that doesn't go up and down, which he liked much better.
Today we went to the Allen Park art festival, which is always neat, and then to the twenty somethings group to hang out. It was pretty fun, but Josh got a little wild towards the end (I guess two year olds do that!) At the festival, there was the high school marching band playing, which Josh and Miriam both loved. They were dancing in their strollers! Then there was a toy dog riding in a fire truck that came up to Josh. He was scared to death of that! We had a lot of fun though, and Patty bought us all kettle corn.

Hi all! I saw something funny about blogs the other day - it said at first you publish a lot, then the posts become more spread out with the majority of the post just apologizing for how long it's been since you posted! So looking at the past posts - I must say - Josh is now 2, Miriam was born September 14, 2005 and is coming up on her one year birthday, and Dave and I have been married for 5 years! It's hard to believe; it definately went by really fast.
In baby news, yesterday Miriam walked by herself across the living room. Josh talks in complete, semi-coherent sentences, with personal pronouns ("I want cake! Give me juice!" you get the idea...) They play pretty well together. Occasionally they fight over toys, and it seems like Miriam usually wins. When she really screams, Josh just gives in to her. They like going to the Y with me and playing. We do that three times a week, hopefully. I am going to sign Josh up for swimming lessons this fall.
Tonight we're going to go to the zoo and see some old college friends - Scott and Val. It should be a lot of fun.
